The face behind the company.

Rick van der Eijk, founder of The Wine Traders, has been raised   between the wine bottles. With a father active in the wine business it’s almost normal to start at a young age with tasting wines.

As a teenager Rick already visited several wine expo’s and wine-houses. After a study at the Hotelschool The Hague and a short   experience in the restaurant trade, he started in 1996 to be working in the wine business. As a wine buyer for a wholesaler / cash a carry for the restaurant trade, he has selected a wide range of wines from several countries. And off course, also a nice selection of exclusive wines from France, Spain, Italy and more.

The vision of The Wine Traders is to make it possible to select exclusive and premium wines on an easy way. To make a selection based on all available information about the different wines.  When to drink or to sell, what is the opinion of the specialist. On a transparant way it’s possible to create your own selection of premium wines.
